To adjust the temperature settings, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator compartment. Use the temperature up and down buttons to set your desired cooling levels for both the refrigerator and freezer sections.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure that the temperature settings are correct. Clean the condenser coils and make sure the door seals are intact. If the issue persists, contact JennAir customer service for assistance.
To change the water filter, locate the filter compartment inside the refrigerator. Turn the old filter counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it is securely in place. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to clear any air from the system.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the condenser coils every six months, replacing the water filter every six months, and checking door seals periodically. Also, ensure the interior is cleaned monthly to prevent odors and spills.
Check the rubber gaskets around the door for any cracks or debris. Clean them with a damp cloth and mild detergent. You can also perform a dollar bill test by closing the door on a bill; if the bill pulls out easily, the seal may need to be replaced.
Ensure the freezer door is closing completely and the seals are intact. Avoid leaving the door open for extended periods. If the issue continues, defrost the freezer and check that the defrost system is functioning properly.
Use a level to check the alignment of the refrigerator. Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom front of the unit by turning them clockwise to raise or counterclockwise to lower until the refrigerator is level.
To reset the ice maker, locate the on/off switch or button on the ice maker unit. Turn it off for a few seconds, then turn it back on. Allow the ice maker to cycle and produce ice. If it doesn't, consult the user manual or contact support.
Identify the source of the noise. Common causes include the compressor, evaporator fan, or condenser fan. Ensure the refrigerator is level and not vibrating against a wall or cabinet. If noises persist, it may require professional inspection.
Regularly inspect the temperature settings, door seals, and water filter. Ensure the interior and exterior are clean, and check for unusual noises or leaks. Promptly address any issues to maintain optimal performance.
