To turn on the Indesit RI 861 X Hob, press the power button located on the control panel. Then select the desired cooking zone and adjust the heat setting using the "+" and "-" buttons.
If the hob does not heat up, ensure it is properly connected to the power supply. Check that the child lock is not activated and that you have selected the correct zone and heat setting. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact customer service.
To clean the glass surface, use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface. For stubborn stains, use a glass scraper at a shallow angle.
The "H" symbol indicates that the cooking zone is still hot after being turned off. It is a safety feature to prevent burns. The symbol will disappear once the zone cools down.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button on the control panel for a few seconds until the lock symbol appears on the display. This will prevent accidental operation of the hob.
The clicking noise is normal and occurs when the hob's electronic components are adjusting power levels. If the noise is persistent and loud, check for any loose components or contact a technician.
It is recommended to use flat-bottomed cookware made from materials such as stainless steel or cast iron for optimal performance. Avoid using glass, ceramic, or stoneware, as they may not conduct heat efficiently.
To reset the hob, turn it off and unplug it from the power source for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
Refer to the user manual for specific error code meanings. Common solutions include checking the power supply, ensuring proper ventilation, and resetting the hob. If unresolved, contact a qualified technician.
Regularly clean the hob using appropriate cleaning materials. Avoid spilling liquids on the control panel and do not place heavy items on the glass surface. Periodically check connections and consult the manual for additional maintenance tips.
