To reset the tire pressure monitoring system, first ensure all tires are inflated to the correct pressure. Then, drive the vehicle at a speed above 20 mph for at least 10 minutes. The system should automatically recalibrate and reset.
Hyundai recommends a maintenance schedule that includes an oil and filter change every 7,500 miles, tire rotations every 7,500 miles, and inspections of the brake system, cooling system, and other critical components every 15,000 miles.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, drive at moderate speeds, use cruise control on highways, and minimize the use of air conditioning. Regular maintenance, such as timely oil changes and air filter replacements, also helps.
If the check engine light comes on, first check the gas cap to ensure it's properly tightened, as a loose cap can trigger the light. If the light remains on, it is advisable to visit a Hyundai service center for diagnosis.
The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid 2020 is not designed for towing. Refer to the owner's manual for more details on vehicle capabilities and limitations.
To jump-start the vehicle, connect the positive jumper cable to the positive battery terminal of the Ioniq and the donor vehicle, then connect the negative cable to the donor vehicle's negative terminal and an unpainted metal surface on the Ioniq. Start the donor vehicle and then the Ioniq.
Hyundai recommends using SAE 0W-20 oil for optimal performance in the Ioniq Hybrid 2020. Always refer to the owner's manual for specifications.
To replace a headlight bulb, open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly. Remove the cover, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the old bulb. Install the new bulb by reversing these steps. Ensure the bulb is securely fitted before closing the hood.
Unusual noises during acceleration could indicate issues such as a loose belt, exhaust problems, or engine issues. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a certified Hyundai technician to diagnose and resolve the issue.
Regenerative braking is automatically enabled in the Ioniq Hybrid 2020. You can adjust the level of regenerative braking using the paddles located behind the steering wheel to increase or decrease the intensity.
