To start the Husqvarna Z146, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is in the off position, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the start position.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the on position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage. If the belt appears fine, check the electrical connections to the PTO clutch.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
The recommended tire pressure for the Husqvarna Z146 is 15 psi for both the front and rear tires. Regularly check and maintain the correct pressure for optimal performance.
Ensure the blades are sharp and not damaged. Check the deck level and adjust if necessary. Also, mow at a slower speed and do not cut more than one-third of the grass height at a time.
The cutting height can be adjusted using the lever located near the operator's seat. Move the lever forward or backward to select the desired cutting height.
Check the air filter before each use. Clean or replace it if it's dirty or clogged. For optimal performance, replace the air filter every 100 hours of operation or annually.
Inspect the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them if necessary. Check the battery cables for secure connections. If the problem persists, test the battery with a multimeter or consult a professional.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Check for debris lodged in the mower deck. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tightened properly.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove any grass clippings, and apply a rust preventative to metal parts. Change the oil, remove the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
