Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blades are disengaged, and the steering levers are in the neutral position. Turn the ignition key to the start position and release when the engine starts.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and ensure it is in the "ON" position. Also, inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Adjust the deck height and ground speed to match the grass conditions.
Check for damaged or unbalanced blades, worn out deck pulleys, or loose engine mounting bolts. Correct any issues found.
Use a garden hose with a nozzle to spray off grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high pressure, which can damage the deck.
Check the battery charge, fuel level, and spark plug. Ensure all safety switches are engaged. Replace faulty components if necessary.
Clean the mower, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store in a dry place and disconnect the battery.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean the air filter, inspect the blades, and lubricate all moving parts as per the user manual.
