Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade switch is off, and the throttle is in the choke position. Turn the ignition key to the start position and release once the engine starts.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plug for damage or wear. Also, make sure the air filter is clean and the blades are not engaged.
It is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Always check the oil level before each use.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the mower's fender. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position. The mower offers several height settings to choose from.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels greater than E10 as they can cause engine damage.
Check if the tires are inflated evenly, ensure the blades are sharp and balanced, and inspect the deck for any obstructions or damage. Uneven terrain can also affect cutting performance.
First, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt and replace the blade. Secure the new blade with the bolt, ensuring it's tight.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of use or more frequently in dusty conditions. Clean or replace the filter as needed to ensure optimal engine performance.
Clean the mower thoroughly, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and remove the battery. Store in a dry, protected area to prevent rust and damage.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose engine mounting bolts, or debris lodged in the deck. Inspect and address these areas as needed.
