Husqvarna YTH 224T Instruction Manual

Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the mower deck is disengaged, and the throttle is set to full speed. Turn the ignition key to the start position.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and with no more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch to ensure it is in the "engaged" position, and inspect the drive belt for wear or damage.
Use the cutting height lever located on the fender to set the desired height between 1.5 inches and 4 inches.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean or replace it if it appears dirty or clogged.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, inspect the spark plug, and verify there is enough fuel in the tank.
Regularly maintain the engine, keep the blades sharp, and mow at the appropriate speed. Avoid mowing when the grass is wet.
Clean the mower, change the oil, remove the battery, and store it in a dry place. Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank.
Disconnect the spark plug for safety, raise the mower deck, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades and secure them tightly.
