To start the Husqvarna TC 238, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the drive lever is in neutral, and the blades are disengaged. Turn the ignition key clockwise to the start position and release it once the engine starts.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each season.
Check the blade engagement cable for proper tension and ensure it is not damaged. Inspect the blade switch and connections for faults. If necessary, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting height. Make sure both sides are adjusted evenly.
Check the air filter before each use. Clean it every 25 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace the air filter annually or if it appears damaged or excessively dirty.
Ensure that the fuel tank has fresh gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Check the battery connections and charge if necessary. Inspect the spark plug for damage and replace if needed.
The Husqvarna TC 238 uses a 12-volt lead-acid battery. Ensure it is properly maintained and charged for optimal performance.
Use a garden hose to remove grass clippings and debris from the mower deck. Avoid using high-pressure washers as they may damage the components. Allow the deck to dry before storing the mower.
Check for debris lodged in the mower deck or blades. Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Tighten any loose bolts or components. If the issue persists, consult a professional technician.
