To start the Husqvarna LTH154, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade engagement switch is off, and the throttle is in the "fast" position. Then turn the ignition key clockwise to start the engine.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, battery charge, and ensure the spark plug is connected properly. Also, verify that the choke is in the correct position for starting.
Change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first. Use the recommended oil type specified in the user manual.
Regularly inspect the blades for damage and sharpness. Sharpen the blades every 25 hours of use or whenever they become dull. Ensure the blades are balanced after sharpening.
Check the tire pressure to ensure it is even on all tires. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and make sure the deck is level. Adjust the deck height if necessary.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose parts, or debris lodged in the deck. Check for these issues and address them accordingly.
To change the drive belt, first disconnect the spark plug. Remove the deck, then release the tension on the belt and remove it from the pulleys. Install the new belt following the same path, ensuring it is properly seated on all pulleys.
It's recommended to use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and no more than 10% ethanol. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
To clean the air filter, remove the filter cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove loose dirt. If it's very dirty, wash it with mild detergent and water, then let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as goggles and sturdy shoes. Ensure no one is near the mowing area, and be cautious of obstacles. Never leave the mower unattended while running.
