To start the Husqvarna CTH164T, ensure the parking brake is engaged, set the throttle to the choke position if the engine is cold, and turn the ignition key clockwise to start the engine. Once started, adjust the throttle to the desired speed.
Check the fuel level and ensure that fresh fuel is used. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. Verify that the battery is charged and connections are clean. Ensure the safety switches are engaged properly.
It is recommended to change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Always refer to the user manual for specific oil type and maintenance intervals.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Ensure the oil meets the API service classification SF, SG, SH, or higher.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever near the wheels. Move the lever to the desired position to adjust the height from 1.5 inches to 4 inches. Ensure the mower is on a flat surface when making adjustments.
Check for debris accumulation under the deck and remove it. Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance and sharpen or replace as necessary. Ensure all bolts and connections are tight.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them if necessary. Charge the battery fully before storing the mower for the winter. Disconnect the battery if storing for an extended period.
Ensure the tire pressure is equal on all sides. Check if the mower deck is level and adjust if necessary. Inspect the blades for wear and sharpen or replace them as needed.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris from the mower deck using a hose or compressed air. Clean the air filter regularly and check for any blocked vents or cooling fins.
Routinely check and replace the air filter, change the oil, sharpen the blades, and inspect belts and pulleys for wear. Regular lubrication of moving parts is also recommended. Refer to the user manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
