To start the Husqvarna CTH126 Lawn Mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, move the throttle to the choke position if the engine is cold, turn the ignition key to the start position, and release it when the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use in temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For colder conditions, 10W-30 is recommended. Ensure the oil meets API service classification SF, SG, or SH.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or once a season, whichever comes first.
If the lawn mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify that the battery is charged.
Adjust the cutting height by using the lever located on the right-hand side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height.
Regularly check the blades for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace blades as needed, and always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing maintenance.
Excessive vibration may indicate a damaged blade, unbalanced blade, or loose hardware. Inspect the blades and fasteners, and replace or tighten as necessary.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with compressed air or replace it if it’s too dirty or damaged. Reinstall the filter and cover securely.
Maintain the front tire pressure at 14 psi and the rear tire pressure at 10 psi for optimal performance and safety.
Before storing for the winter, clean the mower, change the oil, remove the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Add a fuel stabilizer to the tank or drain the fuel completely.
