To start the Husqvarna CT 126 Lawn Mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade switch is off, and the throttle lever is in the choke position. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then release it to the run position.
Check that the battery is charged, the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline, and the spark plug is connected. Also, ensure the safety features are properly engaged.
The engine oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours or at least once per mowing season.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for optimal performance, depending on the climate conditions. Refer to the user manual for specific recommendations.
Remove the blades from the mower deck, secure them in a vise, and use a grinder or file to sharpen the cutting edges. Ensure the blades are balanced before reinstalling.
Check that the tire pressure is even, the mower deck is level, and the blades are sharp. Adjust the deck height and ensure there are no obstructions.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the air filter, and clean it with compressed air or wash it in soapy water if it's a foam filter. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Replace the spark plug every 100 hours of operation or once per season to ensure efficient engine performance.
Lower the mower deck, remove the belt guards, and then remove the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt following the belt routing diagram in the manual. Reattach the belt guards.
Regularly check that the battery terminals are clean and tightly connected. During off-season storage, keep the battery charged to prevent sulfation.
