To set up the suspension, adjust the shock absorbers by tuning the spring preload and oil viscosity according to your track conditions. Ensure equal settings on both sides for balanced performance.
For optimal performance, use a 2S or 3S LiPo battery with a capacity of at least 3000mAh and a discharge rate of 25C or higher.
Check for binding in the drivetrain, ensure proper gear mesh, and make sure the motor is not overloaded. Consider adding a heat sink or cooling fan for better heat dissipation.
Regularly clean the chassis, check screws and nuts for tightness, lubricate moving parts, inspect the drivetrain, and ensure the electronics are protected from moisture.
Adjust the tire type and tread pattern for better grip, soften the suspension settings, and consider using a softer compound tire for improved traction.
Inspect the steering servo for damage, ensure the servo saver is not too loose, and check for any obstructions in the steering linkage. Replace any damaged parts.
Loosen the motor mount screws, slide the motor to adjust the pinion and spur gear spacing, and ensure there is a slight backlash. Tighten the screws once properly adjusted.
Consider upgrading to a higher KV brushless motor, using a higher voltage battery, and optimizing the gear ratio for increased speed.
Use waterproof servos, protect the ESC with a waterproof casing or conformal coating, and seal any openings in the receiver box.
Store the vehicle in a cool, dry place, disconnect the battery, and ensure the tires are not resting on flat surfaces to prevent flat spots.
