To adjust the temperature, locate the temperature control dial usually found inside the fridge compartment. Turn the dial clockwise to lower the temperature and counterclockwise to increase it.
Check if the fridge is plugged in properly and the door is closing completely. Ensure that the temperature setting is correct. Clean the condenser coils at the back of the fridge for better efficiency.
Manual defrosting is recommended every 6 months or when the frost build-up reaches about 1/4 inch to ensure optimal performance.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Clear the drain using warm water or a pipe cleaner to resolve the issue.
Keep the fridge away from heat sources, ensure good ventilation around it, and avoid opening the door frequently. Regularly clean the condenser coils to maintain efficiency.
Clean the interior with a mixture of baking soda and water every few months. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Regularly check and clean the door seals to ensure they are intact and free from debris.
Unplug the fridge, locate the light cover inside the fridge, and remove it by unscrewing or unclipping it. Replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage, and reattach the cover.
Noises could be due to the fridge not being level, items inside vibrating against each other, or the compressor or fan malfunctioning. Ensure the fridge is level and check for loose items. If the noise persists, consult a technician.
Check if the freezer door is sealing properly. Defrost the freezer by unplugging it and letting the ice melt. Avoid overloading the freezer and ensure proper airflow inside.
Inspect the seal for tears or gaps. If damaged, it should be replaced. Replacement seals can be ordered through Hotpoint or a certified parts dealer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation.
