To change the temperature settings, use the control panel located inside the fridge compartment. Press the temperature button until you reach the desired temperature for both the fridge and freezer sections.
First, check if the appliance is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure the doors are closing properly and that the seals are intact. If the problem persists, consider defrosting the freezer and checking the thermostat settings.
The freezer is frost-free and does not require manual defrosting. However, if ice builds up, check for door seal integrity and ensure the door is closed properly.
This could be due to a blocked defrost drain. Clean the drain hole at the back of the fridge with a pipe cleaner or a similar tool to ensure proper drainage.
First, unplug the appliance. Locate the bulb cover inside the fridge, remove it by unscrewing or unclipping, and replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover before plugging the appliance back in.
Damaged door seals can be replaced. Contact Hotpoint customer service for the appropriate replacement parts and follow the instructions provided for installation.
Unplug the appliance and locate the condenser coils, usually at the back or underneath the fridge. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Clean the coils every six months for optimal efficiency.
Unusual noises can be caused by the appliance being unlevel or items inside vibrating. Ensure the fridge is on a stable surface and adjust the feet if necessary. Rearrange the contents to reduce noise.
Try resetting the appliance by unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in. If the issue persists, contact Hotpoint customer support for further assistance.
Ensure the appliance is not placed near heat sources and that there is adequate ventilation around it. Keep the door closed as much as possible and ensure the seals are intact. Regularly clean the condenser coils to maintain efficiency.
