To start a wash cycle, first load the dishwasher with dishes. Add the appropriate amount of detergent, select the desired wash program using the control panel, and press the start button to initiate the cycle.
Check to ensure the water supply is turned on. Inspect the inlet hose for kinks or blockages and clean the inlet filter if necessary. Make sure the door is fully closed and latched.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack to access the filter assembly at the base of the dishwasher. Twist and lift the filter out, rinse under running water, and remove any debris before reinstalling it.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack and smaller items like glasses and cups on the top rack. Ensure that all items are angled correctly for optimal water flow and avoid overcrowding.
Check if the rinse aid dispenser is full, as rinse aid helps with drying. Ensure that the selected wash program includes a drying phase. Also, verify that the water temperature is adequate for drying.
Ensure that no items are obstructing the spray arms. Verify that the dishwasher is level and that dishes are loaded correctly and not touching each other. Additionally, check for any loose parts or debris in the pump.
To reset the dishwasher, turn it off by pressing the power button. Wait a few minutes, then turn it back on. This can help resolve minor issues or glitches.
Regularly clean the filters, check and clean the spray arms, inspect the door seal for any debris or damage, and ensure that the water inlet and outlet hoses are clear and not obstructed.
Run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and baking soda monthly. Ensure that food debris is rinsed off dishes before loading them and regularly clean the filter and door seals.
Check the drain hose for blockages or kinks. Clean the filter and ensure the sink's drain is not clogged. If the problem persists, inspect the drain pump for any debris or damage.
