To defrost the freezer compartment, unplug the appliance and remove all items. Leave the door open to allow the ice to melt naturally. Place towels around the base to catch any water. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging it back in.
First, check if the temperature setting is correct. Ensure that the vents inside are not blocked. Clean the condenser coils and check the door seals for any gaps. If the issue persists, contact Hoover customer service for assistance.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils at least twice a year to ensure efficient operation. Use a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush to remove dust and debris.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Check and clean the drain hole located at the back of the refrigerator. Ensure that it is unobstructed to allow water to flow through.
The ideal temperature for the fridge compartment is between 3°C and 5°C, while the freezer should be set at -18°C for optimal food preservation.
Ensure the door seals are tight, avoid placing hot items inside, and keep the refrigerator in a cool, well-ventilated space. Regular cleaning of the condenser coils also helps improve energy efficiency.
Check if the bulb needs replacing. Ensure the refrigerator is unplugged before changing the bulb. If replacing the bulb doesn’t solve the problem, there could be an issue with the light switch or wiring.
Locate the water filter inside the fridge compartment. Turn it counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it's secure. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to clear any air and impurities.
Store items according to temperature needs. Keep raw meat in the coldest part, usually the bottom shelf. Use door compartments for condiments and drinks. Avoid overcrowding to ensure proper air circulation.
Unusual noises may be due to the appliance not being level, items inside vibrating against each other, or the condenser fan malfunctioning. Ensure it’s on a stable surface and rearrange items. If noises persist, consult a technician.
