Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack, ensuring they don't block the spray arms. Use the top rack for smaller items like cups and bowls. Avoid overcrowding to ensure water can circulate effectively.
Check the filter and drain area for blockages. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. If the problem persists, inspect the dishwasher's pump for any obstructions.
Remove the lower rack to access the filter. Twist it counterclockwise to remove, then rinse it under running water. Use a soft brush to remove any debris. Reinstall by twisting it clockwise until secure.
Ensure you are using a rinse aid to prevent spotting. Check that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C) for effective cleaning. Adjust the amount of detergent if necessary.
Ensure that dishes are properly loaded and not touching each other or the spray arms. Check for foreign objects in the pump or spray arm area. Inspect the dishwasher's leveling to ensure it's stable.
Clean the spray arms every 3-6 months. Remove them by unscrewing the retaining nut, then rinse under water and use a toothpick to clear any blocked holes. Reattach securely.
Check for obstructions around the door seal. Inspect the latch for damage or misalignment. Ensure the racks are properly positioned and not blocking the door.
Run full loads whenever possible and use the eco or energy-saving wash cycle. Keep the filters and spray arms clean to maintain efficiency. Turn off the heated dry option to save energy.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent, either in tablet, powder, or gel form. Ensure it's suitable for use in automatic dishwashers and follow the manufacturer's recommended dosage.
Regularly clean the filter and check for food debris. Run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar on the top rack to eliminate odors. Ensure the door is slightly open when not in use to allow air circulation.
