To ignite the Henley Stoves ECO C400, first ensure the air vent is fully open. Place kindling wood and a firelighter on the grate, then ignite the firelighter. Once the kindling is burning well, add larger pieces of wood.
If the stove glass becomes dirty, wait until the stove is cool and use a stove glass cleaner. Alternatively, dip a damp cloth in ash and rub it on the glass to clean it.
The flue should be cleaned at least once a year. However, if the stove is used frequently, more regular cleaning may be necessary to prevent soot buildup.
The ECO C400 is designed to burn well-seasoned hardwood logs. Avoid using treated wood or household waste as fuel.
Adjust the primary and secondary air controls to regulate the burn rate. Start with them fully open for ignition, then adjust to maintain the desired temperature and flame.
Ensure the stove is installed correctly and operated in a well-ventilated area. Keep combustible materials away and use a fireguard to protect from sparks.
It is not recommended to leave the stove unattended while burning. Always ensure the fire is stable and the area is safe before stepping away.
Check if the flue is blocked or the air vents are closed. Ensure the room is not airtight. If the issue persists, consult a professional chimney sweep.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the stove glass, checking seals and gaskets, removing ash, and inspecting the flue for blockages.
Use well-seasoned wood, maintain the stove regularly, and ensure proper air vent settings. Regularly inspect and clean the flue to ensure good airflow.
