To perform a self-cleaning cycle, remove all racks and accessories from the oven. Close the oven door and select the 'Self Clean' option on the control panel. Choose the desired cleaning duration and press 'Start'. The oven will lock automatically during the cycle.
If the oven is not heating properly, check if the oven is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the oven settings are correct for the cooking mode you are using. If the issue persists, it may require a service technician to inspect the heating elements.
Refer to the user manual for specific error code meanings. Common solutions include resetting the oven by turning off the power for a few minutes, then turning it back on. If an error persists, contact GE customer support for further assistance.
To clean the oven manually, allow it to cool completely. Use a mixture of baking soda and water to form a paste and apply it to the interior surfaces. Let it sit for several hours or overnight, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
It is not recommended to use aluminum foil to line the oven bottom as it can interfere with heat distribution and damage the oven. However, you can use foil on baking trays to catch drips or cover dishes to prevent over-browning.
To change the oven light, ensure the oven is off and cool. Remove the glass cover by turning it counterclockwise. Replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage, then replace the glass cover by turning it clockwise.
To calibrate the oven temperature, press the 'Bake' pad and set the oven to 350°F. Press 'Bake' again for 6 seconds until '00' appears. Use the number pads to adjust the oven temperature up or down, then press 'Start' to save the setting.
If the door remains locked, allow the oven to cool completely. If it still doesn't unlock, try turning off the power at the circuit breaker for a few minutes and then back on. If the problem persists, contact a service technician.
To set the delay start feature, select the cooking mode and temperature, then press the 'Delay Start' button. Use the number pads to enter the desired start time. Press 'Start' to confirm the settings. The oven will begin cooking at the set time.
Sabbath mode disables certain features to comply with kosher cooking practices. To activate, press and hold 'Bake' and 'Broil' simultaneously for 3 seconds. The display will show 'SAb'. Use the knobs or buttons to set the temperature, then press 'Start'.
