After delivery, ensure the freezer is placed on a flat, stable surface. Allow the freezer to sit upright for 24 hours before plugging it in to let the refrigerant settle.
The recommended temperature setting for optimal performance is 0°F (-18°C). Adjust the thermostat accordingly and use a freezer thermometer to verify the temperature.
To defrost, unplug the freezer and remove all contents. Leave the door open and allow the ice to melt naturally. Clean the interior with a mild detergent and dry thoroughly before plugging it back in.
Check the temperature setting and ensure the door seals are clean and intact. If the issue persists, inspect the condenser coils for dust buildup and clean them if necessary.
Unusual noises may be due to the freezer not being level, items inside vibrating, or the compressor cycling on and off. Check for these issues and adjust as needed.
The condenser coils should be cleaned at least twice a year. This helps maintain efficient cooling and prolongs the life of the appliance.
Keep the freezer door closed to maintain the temperature. A full freezer can keep its temperature for about 48 hours (24 hours if half full). Once power is restored, check the contents for any thawing.
To maximize efficiency, ensure the freezer is not overfilled, maintain a consistent temperature, and keep it away from heat sources like direct sunlight or ovens.
While primarily designed for food storage, the freezer can store non-food items that require temperature control, such as certain medical supplies. Ensure they are suitable for freezing conditions.
Inspect the door gasket for damage or debris. Clean the gasket with warm, soapy water and ensure it is pliable. If the gasket is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
