To perform a self-clean cycle, remove all oven racks and any cookware. Close the oven door and press the "Self Clean" button. Select the desired cleaning time (2, 3, or 4 hours) and press "Start." The door will lock and the cleaning process will begin.
If the oven door remains locked after the self-clean cycle, wait for the oven to cool completely. This can take up to an hour. If it remains locked, try resetting the range by unplugging it for a minute or flipping the circuit breaker.
To replace the oven light bulb, make sure the oven is off and cool. Remove the glass cover by turning it counterclockwise. Replace the bulb with a new 40-watt appliance bulb. Screw the glass cover back on and turn clockwise to secure it.
To calibrate the oven temperature, press "Bake" and set the temperature to 550°F. Then, press and hold "Bake" for several seconds until "00" appears. Use the arrow keys to adjust the temperature up or down, in increments of 1°F, then press "Start."
Noises such as popping or ticking are normal as metal heats and cools. If you hear a rattling noise, check that the range is level and that cookware isn't vibrating. Persistent noises may require service.
Ensure even baking by preheating the oven thoroughly, using bakeware that is the correct size, and checking that the oven racks are positioned correctly. Avoid opening the oven door frequently during baking.
If the burners won't light, ensure the range is plugged in and the circuit breaker is on. Check if the burner caps are properly placed. If the igniters are not clicking, they may need to be cleaned or replaced.
To clean the glass cooktop, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for glass cooktops. Allow the cooktop to cool, then apply the cleaner and use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe away residue. Avoid using steel wool or harsh chemicals.
To prevent smoke, clean spills and grease residue regularly. Use a baking sheet to catch drips, and avoid overfilling cookware. Ensure the oven vent is unblocked and consider using the convection feature for more efficient cooking.
Check if the oven racks are properly positioned and that they are not warped. Ensure the oven door seals properly. You may need to calibrate the oven temperature if uneven cooking persists.
