To clean the filter, remove the lower dish rack and locate the filter assembly at the bottom of the dishwasher. Twist the cylindrical filter to unlock it and lift it out. Rinse the filter under running water and use a soft brush to remove any debris. Reinstall the filter by placing it back in position and twisting it to lock it securely.
Ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Check if the door is completely closed and latched. Verify that the child lock is not activated. If the issue persists, reset the dishwasher by turning off the power supply for a few minutes before turning it back on.
To enhance drying performance, use a rinse aid, which helps water sheet off dishes more effectively. Also, select the "Heated Dry" option and ensure that there's adequate space between dishes to allow air circulation. Opening the dishwasher door slightly after the cycle ends can also help to release steam and speed up drying.
Unusual noises can be caused by items that are not properly secured in the racks, causing them to rattle. Ensure that dishes are not touching each other and that the spray arms can rotate freely. Also, check for any foreign objects like utensils that might have fallen into the bottom of the dishwasher.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the "Cancel" button for about 3 seconds until the display clears. Alternatively, you can reset the power by switching off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher for about 5 minutes before turning it back on.
It is recommended to use high-quality automatic dishwasher detergents in tablet or gel form. Avoid using hand dishwashing detergents, as they can cause excessive sudsing and poor wash performance.
Check the door gasket for any signs of damage or debris and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure that the dishwasher is level to prevent water from leaking out. Examine the water inlet valve and hose connections for leaks and tighten them if needed.
A foul smell can result from food residue buildup. Clean the filter and the interior of the dishwasher. Run an empty cycle with a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack to help eliminate odors. Regular use of a dishwasher cleaner can also prevent future smells.
To adjust the top rack, ensure it is empty and pull it out slightly. Locate the rack height adjusters on each side of the rack. Lift the adjusters to move the rack up or down to your desired height. Make sure both sides are level after adjustment.
While the dishwasher can technically run with cold water, it is designed to work best with hot water. Hot water helps dissolve detergent more effectively and improves cleaning performance. Ensure that the water heater is set to at least 120°F for optimal results.
