To power on the FLIR SCION OTM260, press and hold the power button until the display lights up. Ensure the battery is charged or the device is connected to an external power source.
To clean the lenses, use a lens cleaning cloth or a microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using any abrasive materials or solvents that could damage the lens coating.
Visit the official FLIR website to download the latest firmware. Follow the instructions provided, typically involving connecting the device to your computer via USB and running the update software.
First, check if the device is powered on and the lens cap is removed. If the issue persists, perform a reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds. If problems continue, contact FLIR support for assistance.
Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable. The monocular will appear as a removable drive, allowing you to copy video files directly to your computer.
Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use the protective case provided to prevent dust and moisture accumulation. Ideally, store at temperatures between -20°C and 60°C.
The FLIR SCION OTM260 is designed to be water-resistant, allowing for use in light rain or humid conditions. However, it is not waterproof, so avoid submerging it in water.
Adjust the focus ring located on the front of the monocular until the image is sharp and clear. This can be done with one hand by rotating the ring clockwise or counterclockwise.
The battery life is typically around 4-5 hours with continuous usage. To extend battery life, reduce screen brightness, use power-saving modes, and turn off the device when not in use.
To reset to factory settings, navigate to the settings menu and select 'Restore Defaults'. Confirm the action to reset all settings to their original state.
