To calibrate the EC400 Meter, immerse the electrode in a standard solution, press the 'CAL' button, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration process. Ensure the meter is stable before confirming the calibration.
An "Err" message indicates an error in measurement or calibration. Check the connections, ensure the electrodes are clean, and attempt recalibration. If the problem persists, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
Regularly clean the electrode with distilled water and gently blot it dry with a soft cloth. Store the electrode in a protective cap filled with storage solution to prevent it from drying out.
To replace the batteries, remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the meter, take out the old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring the correct polarity. Secure the compartment cover back in place.
Store the EC400 Meter in a cool, dry place with the protective cap over the electrode. If the meter will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Unstable readings may be due to air bubbles on the electrode, inadequate calibration, or low battery power. Ensure the electrode is fully immersed and free of bubbles, and recalibrate if necessary. Replace the batteries if the issue persists.
It is recommended to calibrate the EC400 Meter before each use for critical measurements or at least once a week for regular use to maintain accuracy.
The EC400 Meter is designed for use within a specific temperature range. Using it in high-temperature solutions may damage the electrode or affect the accuracy of the readings. Refer to the specifications in the user manual for the allowable temperature range.
If the meter does not turn on, check the battery compartment for proper battery installation and replace the batteries if necessary. If the issue continues, inspect for any visible damage or contact customer support.
The EC400 Meter is water-resistant, allowing it to be used in moist environments, but it should not be fully submerged. Ensure the battery compartment and all connectors are properly sealed when taking measurements in damp conditions.
