Dimplex FTE10 Instruction Manual V1

To set up your Dimplex FTE10 Dehumidifier, place it on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least a 20 cm gap around the unit for proper air circulation. Plug it into a nearby power outlet, and set the desired humidity level using the control panel.
Ensure the ambient humidity is above the set level, as the unit may not collect water if the humidity is too low. Check if the water tank is correctly positioned and not full. Also, inspect the air filter for clogs and clean it if necessary.
It's recommended to clean the filter every two weeks. Remove the filter, using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash it with warm water and mild detergent. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting it.
The optimal indoor humidity level is typically between 40% and 50%. Adjust your dehumidifier settings within this range for comfort and mold prevention.
A loud noise may indicate the unit is on an uneven surface or the fan blades are obstructed. Ensure the dehumidifier is level and inspect for any debris or obstructions in the air intake and outlet.
Ensure the room temperature is above 5°C, as lower temperatures can cause the coils to freeze. Also, make sure the air filter is clean and the unit is not set too close to walls or furniture.
Check if the water tank is properly positioned and not cracked. Also, inspect the drain hose for blockages or damage if you are using continuous drainage.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the dehumidifier, as it can cause overheating and pose a fire risk. Always plug the unit directly into a wall outlet.
To enable continuous drainage, connect a suitable drain hose to the water outlet and ensure the hose leads to a suitable drain. Make sure the hose is positioned downward to facilitate proper water flow.
The dehumidifier may shut off if the water tank is full or not properly seated. Also, check if the desired humidity level has been reached or if the timer function is active.
