To turn on the Dimplex DXC20 heater, plug it into a power outlet and switch the power button to the "On" position. Adjust the thermostat to your desired temperature setting.
Check if the heater is properly plugged in and the power is turned on. Ensure the thermostat is set above the current room temperature. If the problem persists, refer to the user manual or contact customer support.
Ensure the heater is turned off and unplugged. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use water or any cleaning solvents. Regularly check and clean the air intake and outlet to prevent dust accumulation.
While the Dimplex DXC20 heater is designed with safety features, it is generally recommended to avoid leaving any heater unattended overnight. Use a timer or thermostat to maintain safety and energy efficiency.
This may be due to the thermostat reaching the set temperature or the safety overheat protection activating. Ensure the heater is not obstructed and has sufficient airflow.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the heater due to potential overheating and fire hazards. Plug the heater directly into a wall outlet.
Regularly check for dust and debris on the intake and exhaust vents and clean as necessary. Inspect the power cord for any damage before use. Ensure that the heater is stored in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
Turn the thermostat dial to the desired temperature setting. The heater will automatically maintain the set temperature by cycling on and off.
If the power cord is damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact Dimplex customer support or a qualified technician for repair or replacement. Do not attempt to repair the cord yourself.
The Dimplex DXC20 is not designed for use in high-moisture areas like bathrooms. Using it in such environments can pose safety risks. Consider a heater specifically rated for bathroom use.
