The Denon AVR-891 does not have built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. To connect it to a network, you will need to use an Ethernet cable to connect it directly to your router.
To reset the Denon AVR-891, turn off the receiver and hold down the "Power" button while pressing the "Speaker A" and "Speaker B" buttons simultaneously. Release them when the display starts flashing.
Connect the included microphone to the setup mic jack on the front panel, then follow the on-screen instructions to run the Audyssey MultEQ calibration process. Ensure the room is quiet for accurate measurement.
First, check that all cables are securely connected. Ensure the correct input source is selected. Verify the volume is turned up and the mute function is off. If using HDMI, check the audio settings on your source device.
Ensure the power cable is firmly connected and the outlet is working. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it for a few minutes before plugging it back in. If it still doesn't turn on, it may require service.
The Denon AVR-891 typically does not support firmware updates via network. Check the Denon website for any downloadable updates and follow the provided instructions.
The Denon AVR-891 does not support smartphone app control directly. However, some universal remote apps may work if they support infrared or are compatible with your setup.
Ensure you are using high-speed HDMI cables and check for firmware updates on all connected devices. Also, try connecting the HDMI cable directly to the TV and use the ARC feature if available.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Avoid using any liquid cleaners. Ensure the vents are free of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating. Disconnect from power before cleaning.
Connect the front, center, surround speakers, and subwoofer to the corresponding terminals. Use the setup menu to configure speaker settings and run the Audyssey calibration for optimal sound performance.
