To reset your De Dietrich DVY1310J Dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Reset button for about 3 seconds until the indicator lights turn off. This will reset the dishwasher to its default settings.
If your dishwasher is not draining, check for blockages in the drain hose or filter. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked and clear any debris from the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher.
To clean the filter, first remove the lower dish rack. Twist the filter assembly counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse the filter under running water to remove any debris, then reinstall it by aligning and twisting it clockwise.
Spots on dishes can be caused by hard water. Ensure you are using a rinse aid to help prevent spots. Also, check the salt reservoir and refill it if necessary to help soften the water.
Load larger items such as pots and pans in the bottom rack, and place cups and smaller items in the top rack. Ensure that dishes do not block the spray arms and that all items are securely placed to prevent them from tipping over.
For heavily soiled pots and pans, use the Intensive or Heavy cycle. This cycle uses higher water temperatures and longer wash times to effectively clean tough grime.
Unusual noises can be caused by items hitting the spray arms or loose parts inside the dishwasher. Check that dishes are properly secured and that nothing is obstructing the spray arms. Tighten any loose screws or components.
It's recommended to clean the spray arms every six months. Remove them and rinse under running water to clear any clogs. Use a toothpick to dislodge debris from the spray holes if necessary.
Ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Check that the door is fully closed and latched, and verify that the Start button has been pressed.
To improve drying performance, use a rinse aid and select a longer drying cycle if available. Ensure that the dishwasher is not overloaded, and open the door slightly after the cycle ends to let steam escape.
