To reset the De Dietrich DVH940BE1 dishwasher, press and hold the start button for approximately 3 seconds until the display shows "rSt" or the lights flash. This will reset the current cycle and settings.
If the dishwasher is not draining, check the filter and drain pump for blockages and clean them if necessary. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Additionally, make sure the sink drain is not blocked.
To improve cleaning performance, make sure the dishwasher is not overloaded and that dishes are not blocking the spray arms. Use a high-quality detergent and ensure the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C).
If the dishwasher is noisy, check for items like utensils or small dishes that may have fallen into the spray arm area. Ensure the dishwasher is level and that there are no loose parts.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, checking and cleaning the spray arms, and wiping down the door seals. Run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner monthly to prevent build-up.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack, twist the filter counterclockwise, and lift it out. Rinse it under running water and use a soft brush to remove debris, then replace it by twisting it clockwise until secure.
Possible causes of leaks include a damaged door seal, overloading, or using too much detergent. Check for cracks in the tub and ensure the dishwasher is level. Inspect the hose connections for tightness.
Ensure the dishwasher door is fully closed and latched. Check if the child lock is activated and deactivate it if necessary. Verify that the dishwasher is connected to a power source, and check the circuit breaker.
To eliminate odors, clean the filter and door seals. Run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of vinegar on the top rack. Ensure food debris is removed from the bottom of the dishwasher.
The "E4" error code indicates a water overflow issue. Check for leaks, ensure the drain hose is correctly positioned, and inspect the float switch for obstructions. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
