To turn on the De Dietrich DTE410BL1 Hob, press the power button located on the touch control panel. Then select the desired cooking zone and adjust the power level using the '+' or '-' buttons.
If the hob does not heat up, ensure that it is properly connected to the power supply. Check if the child lock is activated and deactivate it if necessary. Also, verify that the correct cooking zone is selected and the power level is set.
For cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild detergent to wipe the surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or sharp objects that might scratch the glass surface. Make sure the hob is cooled down before cleaning.
The error code "E2" usually indicates an overheating issue. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation around the hob and remove any objects blocking the air vents. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
To reset the hob, disconnect it from the power supply for a few minutes and then reconnect it. This will reset the electronic controls.
Use flat-bottomed cookware made of ferrous materials such as cast iron or stainless steel. Avoid using glass, ceramic, or aluminum cookware unless it has a magnetic base suitable for induction cooking.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock symbol on the control panel until the indicator light turns on. This will prevent accidental operation of the hob.
Clicking noises are normal and occur as the hob switches the induction elements on and off to maintain the set temperature. If the noise is excessive, ensure the cookware is centered and properly placed on the cooking zone.
To set a timer, select the desired cooking zone and use the timer function on the control panel. Adjust the timer duration using the '+' or '-' buttons and confirm the setting. The zone will turn off automatically when the timer ends.
Do not use the hob if the glass surface is cracked, as it may pose a safety hazard. Disconnect the hob from the power supply and contact a qualified service technician for repair or replacement.
