To set the temperature, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator. Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the temperature for both the fridge and freezer compartments. The display will show the current temperature settings.
First, ensure that the refrigerator is level and not in contact with any walls or cabinets. Check for any loose items inside that may be vibrating. If noises persist, inspect the fan and motor for obstructions or damage, and consult the manual for further troubleshooting steps.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils at least twice a year. This helps maintain efficient operation by preventing dust buildup, which can lead to overheating and increased energy consumption.
To defrost the freezer, remove all items and unplug the refrigerator. Leave the freezer door open and place towels to absorb melting ice. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging the refrigerator back in and returning the items.
Ensure the door seals are tight and not damaged. Keep the refrigerator full but not overcrowded for optimal air circulation. Set the temperature to the recommended settings and avoid placing hot items directly into the fridge.
Check if the temperature settings are correct. Ensure the doors are closing properly and the seals are intact. Clean the condenser coils and make sure the airflow vents inside the refrigerator are not blocked.
Locate the water filter compartment, usually at the top right inside the refrigerator. Turn the old filter counterclockwise to remove it and insert the new filter by turning it clockwise until it locks in place. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to clear any air and impurities.
Check if the defrost drain is clogged. Remove any debris or ice that might be blocking it. Ensure that the refrigerator is level to allow proper drainage. If the issue persists, inspect the water supply line for leaks.
To activate holiday mode, press the holiday button on the control panel. This mode maintains a moderate temperature in the refrigerator section while reducing energy consumption. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on deactivating it.
During a power outage, keep the refrigerator doors closed to maintain the temperature for as long as possible. Food should remain safe for up to 4 hours in the refrigerator, but use a thermometer to ensure the temperature stays below 40°F.
