To set the time on your Citizen U100, pull the crown out to the second click. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands. Once set, push the crown back to its normal position.
Citizen U100 watches typically use Eco-Drive technology, which does not require battery replacement. If your watch stops, it might need recharging. Expose it to light to restore power.
Ensure the watch is exposed to sufficient light. If it still does not charge, check for obstructions on the solar panel and clean if necessary. Prolonged lack of charging might require service.
Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate it to change the date. Ensure the time is not set between 9 PM and 3 AM to avoid damage. Push the crown back once set.
Regular cleaning with a soft cloth and ensuring the watch is exposed to light for charging is recommended. Have it serviced every 3-5 years by a professional for optimal performance.
To use the chronograph, press the top button to start/stop the timer and the bottom button to reset it. The large second hand will measure elapsed time.
If your watch is running fast or slow, it may need regulation. This should be done by a professional watch technician to ensure accuracy.
Avoid pressing buttons underwater and have the watch's gaskets checked during service. Ensure the crown is always pushed in to maintain water resistance.
The Citizen U100 is durable for most sports activities, but avoid impacts and ensure proper strap fit. For water sports, verify the specific water resistance rating of your model.
If the hands are misaligned, the watch may need to be reset or serviced. Refer to the manual for hand alignment procedures, or consult a professional watch repair service.
