Chicco Next Fit iX Zip Air Plus User Guide

To install using the LATCH system, locate the LATCH connectors on the car seat, attach them to the vehicle's lower anchors, and tighten the straps until the car seat is secure. Ensure the seat is level by checking the bubble level indicators on the side.
To convert from rear-facing to forward-facing, adjust the seat's recline angle, move the harness to the forward-facing belt path, and ensure the harness straps are at or above the child’s shoulders. Secure the seat using the vehicle seat belt or LATCH system.
The seat pad is removable and machine washable. To clean, unzip and remove the fabric, then wash it in cold water on a delicate cycle. Allow it to air dry. Use a mild soap and water solution for spot cleaning the harness.
To fix uneven harness straps, fully loosen the harness, ensure both straps are routed properly and adjust them simultaneously by pulling on the harness adjustment strap.
After installation, the car seat should not move more than an inch side-to-side or front-to-back when tested at the belt path. Tighten further if necessary.
The Chicco NextFit iX Zip Air Plus can be used rear-facing for children weighing between 5 and 40 pounds.
The Chicco NextFit iX Zip Air Plus features a no-rethread harness. Simply pull up or push down on the headrest to adjust both the harness and headrest to the desired height.
Ensure the car seat is positioned correctly based on your child’s weight and the vehicle seat. Use the ReclineSure leveling system and check the bubble level indicators to confirm the correct angle.
Regularly inspect the car seat for any signs of damage, such as frayed straps or cracked plastic, before each use and during cleaning. Replace any damaged parts immediately.
Chicco recommends using only Chicco-approved seat protectors to ensure compatibility and avoid interference with the car seat installation.
