To start a wash cycle, load your laundry, add detergent, close the door, select the desired wash program using the program dial, and press the start button.
Ensure the machine is properly plugged in, the door is firmly closed, and the water supply is turned on. Check for any error codes on the display that might indicate specific issues.
Remove the detergent drawer by pulling it out and pressing the release clip. Wash it under warm water to remove any detergent residue, dry it, and then slide it back into place.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the detergent drawer, checking and cleaning the filter, and running an empty hot wash cycle with a descaler every few months to prevent limescale buildup.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Also, inspect the pump filter for any obstructions. Clean the filter and ensure the hose is correctly positioned.
Ensure the washing machine is level and stable on the floor. Check if the load is evenly distributed in the drum. Avoid overloading or underloading the machine.
To reset the machine, turn the program dial to the off position, wait for a few seconds, and then select the desired program again.
Run an empty wash cycle with hot water and a cup of white vinegar or baking soda to eliminate odors. Leave the door open after each wash to allow the drum to dry completely.
Use the appropriate amount of detergent as per the manufacturer's instructions. Consider using a high-efficiency detergent and regularly clean the detergent drawer and drum.
The door may stay locked if there is still water in the drum or if the machine is still hot. Wait a few minutes, then try again. If the issue persists, check for any error codes or consult the manual.
