To set the temperature, locate the temperature control dial inside the fridge compartment. Turn the dial to the desired setting, usually a mid-point for optimal performance.
Ensure the fridge is plugged in, the temperature setting is correct, and the door seals are clean and not damaged. Also, check for any obstructions around the vents inside the fridge.
Manual defrosting is generally required when the frost build-up exceeds 1/4 inch. However, check your model's manual as it may have specific recommendations.
Unusual noises can be due to the fridge not being level, items inside vibrating, or the compressor or fans. Check and adjust the leveling and ensure nothing is touching the interior walls.
First, unplug the fridge and remove all food items. Use a mixture of baking soda and warm water to clean the interior surfaces. Rinse with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly before plugging back in.
Store raw meats on the bottom shelf to prevent dripping onto other foods, keep dairy products and eggs in the main compartment, and use the crisper drawers for fruits and vegetables.
Unplug the refrigerator, remove the light cover, unscrew the old bulb, and replace it with a new bulb of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Inspect the seal for tears or deformations. If damaged, replace it with a new seal available from Candy service centers or authorized dealers to maintain efficient cooling.
Keep the fridge away from heat sources, ensure adequate ventilation around it, avoid opening the door frequently, and maintain a consistent temperature setting.
Keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible to retain cold air. Once power is restored, check the temperature and food condition before consuming.
