To start a drying cycle, first load your laundry into the drum. Close the door, select the desired drying program using the control knob, and press the start button.
Check if the dryer is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the door is fully closed and the start button is pressed firmly. If problems persist, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
To clean the lint filter, open the dryer door and remove the filter by pulling it upwards. Clean the filter by hand or with a vacuum cleaner and replace it before starting the next cycle.
Signs of a clogged dryer vent include clothes taking longer to dry, excess lint behind the dryer, and a burning smell during operation. Regularly cleaning the vent can prevent these issues.
To reset the dryer, unplug it from the power source, wait about 5 minutes, and then plug it back in. This can help resolve minor electronic glitches.
If the dryer is not heating, check if the selected cycle requires heat. Ensure the lint filter is clean and the vent is not obstructed. If the issue continues, there might be a problem with the heating element or thermostat.
Ensure the dryer is level and standing on a flat surface. Check for any loose items inside the drum and make sure the dryer is not overloaded. Noise can also be reduced by placing anti-vibration pads under the feet of the dryer.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the lint filter after every load, checking and cleaning the dryer vent periodically, and inspecting the drum for any foreign objects.
While the dryer is versatile, not all fabrics are suitable for tumble drying. Always check garment labels for drying instructions and use appropriate settings for delicate items.
If you select the wrong program, you can stop the dryer by pressing the stop button, select the correct program, and then restart the cycle.
