To properly load clothes, distribute them evenly around the drum without overfilling. Ensure there is enough space for clothes to move freely for effective washing. Avoid wrapping large items around the drum as it can unbalance the load.
Use high-efficiency (HE) detergent for the Candy CO 1285TXE-S. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the detergent packaging to determine the correct amount based on load size and soil level.
To clean the filter, unplug the washing machine and locate the filter access panel at the bottom front. Open it and remove the filter by turning it counter-clockwise. Clean any debris and rinse under water before reinserting it.
Ensure the machine is level by adjusting the feet at the bottom. Make sure the load is balanced and not too heavy on one side. Avoid washing single heavy items as they can cause imbalance.
Check if the machine is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the door is fully closed and the water supply is on. Look for any error codes on the display and refer to the user manual for specific solutions.
Check for blockages in the drain hose or filter. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or frozen. Clean the pump filter and try running a drain cycle again.
Run an empty wash cycle with hot water and 2 cups of white vinegar. Afterwards, wipe the drum, door seal, and detergent drawer with a mixture of water and baking soda. Leave the door open to air out the drum.
Perform routine maintenance every month. Clean the detergent drawer, filter, and run a cleaning cycle with vinegar to prevent buildup and ensure optimal performance.
Use the machine's delicate or hand wash cycle, cold water, and a small amount of mild detergent. Place delicate items in a mesh laundry bag to protect them during the wash cycle.
After each wash, leave the door slightly open to allow the drum to dry out. Regularly clean the door seal and detergent drawer to remove soap residue and moisture. Use a dehumidifier in the laundry room if necessary.
