To start a wash cycle, first load your dishes and add the appropriate amount of detergent. Close the dishwasher door, select the desired wash cycle using the control panel, and press the start button.
If your dishwasher is not draining, check the filter for clogs and ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked. Additionally, verify that the sink drain is clear.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack to access the filter assembly. Twist and pull out the filter, rinse it under running water, and remove any food particles or debris. Reassemble the filter before placing it back.
Spots on glassware may be due to hard water. Ensure you are using a rinse aid to help with drying and spot prevention. Adjusting the amount of detergent used can also help reduce spotting.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, checking for and cleaning any spray arm blockages, inspecting the door seal for debris, and running a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner.
To reset your Candy dishwasher, press and hold the start button for a few seconds until the cycle cancels. Turn off the dishwasher, wait a few moments, and then turn it on again.
Unusual noises can result from items in the dishwasher coming into contact with the spray arms. Ensure that dishes and utensils are properly loaded. Also, check for any loose parts in the dishwasher.
Bad odors can occur from food residue buildup. Clean the filter, spray arms, and door seals regularly. Running a cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar can help eliminate odors.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack, ensuring they do not block the spray arms. Load plates and bowls facing the center. Place cups and glasses on the top rack and utensils in the designated basket.
If the dishwasher doesn't start, ensure that the door is firmly closed and latched. Check that the appliance is plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Also, verify that the water supply is turned on.
