To adjust the temperature, locate the thermostat dial inside the refrigerator compartment. Turn the dial clockwise to lower the temperature and counterclockwise to raise it.
First, ensure the refrigerator is plugged in and the door is fully closed. Check the thermostat settings and adjust if necessary. Clean the condenser coils and ensure that there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
Manual defrosting is recommended when the frost build-up reaches about 1/4 inch thick. Typically, this might be necessary every 6 months depending on usage.
This could be due to a blocked defrost drain. Clear the drain hole located at the back of the refrigerator to allow proper drainage.
Unplug the refrigerator, remove the cover over the light bulb, and replace the bulb with one of the same wattage and size. Ensure the new bulb is securely fitted before replacing the cover.
Unusual noises can indicate that the refrigerator is not level, items inside are vibrating against each other, or the compressor is malfunctioning. Ensure the refrigerator is level and check for any loose items.
Keep the refrigerator well-stocked to maintain consistent temperatures, ensure door seals are clean and effective, and avoid placing hot items directly inside. Regularly clean the condenser coils to improve efficiency.
Check if the door seals are clean and free from obstruction. Also, ensure the refrigerator is level and that shelves or items inside are not blocking the door.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the condenser coils, checking and cleaning door seals, defrosting the freezer when needed, and ensuring proper ventilation around the appliance.
After a power outage, unplug the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, then plug it back in. Check and reset the thermostat to the desired temperature settings.
