To unlock the Candy CI642CTT E1 Hob, press and hold the lock button for a few seconds until the lock indicator turns off. This should restore normal usage of the hob.
First, check the power supply and ensure that the hob is properly plugged in. Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a qualified technician.
Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent and warm water to clean the surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the glass surface.
A clicking noise is normal and is caused by the induction process. The sound should be minimal and not continuous. If the noise is excessive, check for loose cookware or contact customer support.
Induction hobs require magnetic-based cookware. Use pots and pans made of stainless steel or cast iron. You can test compatibility by checking if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button until the lock indicator lights up. This will prevent accidental operation of the hob.
Refer to the user manual for specific error code meanings and troubleshooting steps. Common solutions include resetting the hob or checking for obstructions. If unresolved, contact customer service.
To prevent scratches, avoid sliding cookware across the surface and use cookware with smooth bottoms. Regularly clean the hob to remove any debris that might cause scratches.
Aluminum or copper cookware is not suitable for induction hobs unless it has a magnetic base. Consider using an induction disk adapter if necessary.
To reset the hob, turn off the power at the circuit breaker for a few minutes, then turn it back on. This can help resolve minor issues by resetting the electronics.
