To adjust the temperature settings, locate the thermostat knob inside the fridge. Turn the knob clockwise to lower the temperature and counterclockwise to increase it. Monitor the temperature for 24 hours to ensure it reaches the desired level.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the thermostat is set correctly. Ensure that the door seals are clean and not damaged. Avoid overloading the fridge. If the issue persists, consider defrosting the unit or contacting a professional technician.
Clean the condenser coils every six months to ensure efficient operation. Unplug the refrigerator, locate the coils at the back or beneath the unit, and use a vacuum or a brush to remove dust and debris.
To defrost, first unplug the refrigerator. Remove all food and place towels around the base to catch water. Leave the door open to allow the ice to melt naturally. Once defrosted, clean the interior, dry it off, and plug the refrigerator back in.
Regularly clean shelves and drawers with a mixture of baking soda and water. Store food in airtight containers and use a refrigerator deodorizer or an open box of baking soda to absorb odors.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Check and clear the drain hole at the rear of the refrigerator. Ensure the refrigerator is level to allow proper drainage and prevent future pooling.
Unplug the refrigerator, remove the light cover by unscrewing or unclipping it, and replace the old bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Inspect the seal for cracks or detachment. Clean it with warm, soapy water to remove debris. If damaged, replace it by purchasing a compatible seal and attaching it according to the manufacturer’s instructions or seek professional help.
Keep the refrigerator away from heat sources and ensure proper ventilation around it. Keep the door closed as much as possible and ensure the seals are intact. Regularly defrost and clean the coils for optimal performance.
Place raw meat on the bottom shelf to prevent contamination. Store dairy products and eggs in the colder sections, and keep fruits and vegetables in the designated drawers. Avoid overcrowding to allow air circulation.
