To start a washing cycle, first ensure that the dishwasher is loaded correctly and the door is closed. Select the desired program using the program selection buttons, then press the start button to begin the cycle.
Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages. Ensure the sink drain is not clogged. Clean the dishwasher's filter and ensure the pump impeller is not obstructed.
Locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher tub. Rotate the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris, then reinsert it by rotating it clockwise until it locks in place.
Use a high-quality, automatic dishwasher detergent in either powder, liquid, or tablet form. Avoid using regular dish soap as it can cause excessive sudsing.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as this helps with drying. Also, check if the selected cycle includes a drying phase. Proper loading can also affect drying performance.
Check the door gasket for damage or debris and clean it if necessary. Ensure the dishwasher is level and check the connections for any loose or damaged hoses.
It is recommended to clean the spray arms every 1-2 months to ensure optimal performance. Remove any debris or mineral deposits by soaking them in warm, soapy water and use a toothpick to clear clogged holes.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the start/pause button for about 3 seconds until the machine beeps or the cycle indicator lights turn off. This will cancel the current cycle and allow you to select a new one.
Regularly clean the filter, spray arms, and door gasket. Check for and remove any debris in the drain. Use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to prevent buildup of limescale and grease.
Run full loads whenever possible, use the eco or energy-saving cycle, and ensure the water heater is set to an optimal temperature of around 120°F (49°C).
