To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Reset button for about 3 seconds until the indicator lights turn off. Release the button and wait for the dishwasher to reset, which might take a few minutes.
Check the filter and drain hose for any blockages. Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked and is installed at the correct height. Clean the filter to remove any debris that might be causing the blockage.
Remove the lower dish rack to access the filter assembly at the bottom of the dishwasher. Turn the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse the filter under running water and use a soft brush to remove any debris. Reinstall the filter by aligning it and turning it clockwise until it locks in place.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the lower rack, and smaller items such as glasses and cups on the upper rack. Ensure that all dishes are facing downwards and are not blocking the spray arms. Avoid overloading the dishwasher to ensure proper cleaning.
Ensure that you are using the correct amount of rinse aid. Check that the water softener setting is appropriate for your water hardness level. Clean the spray arms and ensure they are not blocked.
It is recommended to run a maintenance cycle with a dishwasher cleaner once a month to remove limescale and grease build-up. Regular cleaning of the filter and spray arms should be done every few weeks.
Check for any items that may have fallen into the bottom of the dishwasher and are obstructing the spray arms. Ensure that the dishes are properly loaded and not rattling against each other. Inspect the pump and motor for any visible damage.
Make sure to use a rinse aid to help with drying. Select a higher temperature wash cycle if available. Ensure that the door is slightly ajar after the cycle completes to allow steam to escape.
Regularly clean the filter and make sure to remove any food debris from the dishwasher. Run a hot wash cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of vinegar once a month. Keep the door slightly open when not in use to allow air circulation.
Check if the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure that the door is fully closed and latched. If the problem persists, consider resetting the dishwasher by holding the Start/Reset button for a few seconds.
