The Can-Am Outlander Max 400 EFI 2009 requires unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87.
It is recommended to change the oil every 100 hours of operation or at least once a year, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 5 psi (34.5 kPa) for the front tires and 5 psi (34.5 kPa) for the rear tires.
Check the battery for charge, ensure fuel is reaching the engine, and inspect the spark plug for fouling or wear.
Regularly check the coolant level and inspect the radiator for debris or damage. Flush and replace coolant every two years.
Use the adjustment tool to turn the spring preload adjuster on the shock absorbers to achieve the desired stiffness.
The recommended spark plug is NGK DCPR8E. Ensure proper gapping before installation.
Disconnect the battery or use a trickle charger to maintain charge when the ATV is not in use for extended periods.
Stop the vehicle immediately, allow it to cool down, check the coolant level, and ensure the radiator fan is operational.
Remove the air filter, wash it with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, dry completely, and apply air filter oil before reinstalling.
