To zero your scope, mount it securely on your rifle. Use a bore sight to align the scope with the barrel, then fire a group of shots at your target. Adjust the windage and elevation turrets to bring the point of impact to the point of aim. Repeat this process until you achieve the desired accuracy.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lenses. For stubborn dirt, use a lens cleaning solution. Avoid using solvents on the scope body. Regularly check for any loose screws or parts, and ensure the scope mounts are secure. Store the scope in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Adjust the parallax by turning the side focus knob until the target image and the reticle are on the same focal plane. This ensures that there is no apparent movement of the reticle on the target when you move your head slightly.
The Mil Dot reticle is used for range estimation and bullet drop compensation. By knowing the size of the target, you can use the Mil Dots to estimate the range to the target and make accurate adjustments for bullet trajectory.
Fogging can occur due to rapid temperature changes or moisture. Ensure that the scope’s seals are intact and that the nitrogen purging is effective. Store the scope with silica gel packs to absorb moisture and try to avoid sudden temperature transitions.
If your scope is not holding zero, check for loose mounts or rings, and ensure all screws are tight. Inspect for damage to the scope tube and verify that the rifle’s barrel and action are secure. Re-zero the scope if necessary.
The scope can be used at night with adequate artificial lighting or in conjunction with night vision equipment. However, it does not have built-in night vision capabilities, so it relies on external light sources for visibility.
To adjust windage and elevation, remove the turret caps and use the adjustment knobs. Turn the windage knob for left or right adjustments and the elevation knob for up or down adjustments. Each click typically corresponds to 1/4 MOA or another specified increment.
If the image is blurry, check the focus ring at the eyepiece and adjust it until the reticle and target image are clear. Also, ensure that the scope is set to the correct parallax for the target distance. Clean the lenses if needed.
Use a padded case or cover to protect the scope during transport. Ensure that the rifle and scope are securely fastened to prevent movement. Avoid exposing the scope to extreme temperatures and moisture during transport.
