To zero the Bushnell G2DMR scope, first mount it securely on your rifle. Set the scope to the highest magnification. Using a bore sight or firing at a target, adjust the windage and elevation turrets until your point of aim matches the point of impact.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to remove dust. For smudges or fingerprints, apply a small amount of lens cleaner to the cloth, not directly to the lenses, and gently clean in a circular motion.
Adjust the side focus parallax knob until the target is sharp and the reticle does not move relative to the target when you move your head slightly side to side.
If the reticle is blurry, adjust the diopter focus ring located at the rear of the scope. Look through the scope at a bright, featureless background and rotate the ring until the reticle appears sharp.
Ensure the scope caps are tightly closed when not in use. Avoid submerging the scope in water, and periodically check the O-rings for wear and tear, replacing them if necessary.
Store the scope in a cool, dry place in its protective case to prevent dust accumulation and exposure to moisture. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or in a vehicle for extended periods.
If adjustments seem unresponsive, ensure the turret caps are not over-tightened and inspect for any debris under the turrets. If the issue persists, check the mounting system for stability and ensure the scope is properly seated.
Internal fogging is usually a result of a damaged seal. Contact Bushnell customer service for repair or replacement, as this typically requires professional servicing.
To change the battery, unscrew the battery compartment cap located on the illumination knob. Replace with a new battery of the correct type, ensuring the positive side is facing out, and securely screw the cap back on.
No, it is not necessary to re-zero the scope after changing magnification. The Bushnell G2DMR scope is designed to maintain zero across its magnification range. If you experience a shift, check the mounting and adjust accordingly.
