To focus your Bushnell 118323 binoculars, first adjust the central focus wheel to focus on a distant object with both eyes open. Then, close your right eye and focus the left eye using the central wheel. Next, close your left eye and adjust the right eyepiece (diopter) until the image is sharp.
If your binoculars appear out of alignment (double vision), try gently tapping them against a padded surface. If the problem persists, it may require professional realignment by a technician. Avoid attempting to realign them yourself as it can void the warranty.
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the lenses. For stubborn dirt, use lens cleaning fluid and a lens tissue. Avoid using paper towels or rough fabrics, which can scratch the lenses.
If the image remains blurry, check the diopter setting to ensure it's adjusted correctly for your eyesight. Also, ensure that the objective lenses are clean and free from smudges.
The Bushnell 118323 binoculars are water-resistant, meaning they can handle light rain. However, they are not fully waterproof, so it's best to avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain and submersion in water.
To adjust the IPD, hold the binoculars and move the two barrels closer together or further apart until you see a single circular field of view when looking through them. This ensures the binoculars are aligned with your eyes.
Some internal components, such as prisms, might make a slight noise if shaken vigorously. However, persistent rattling could indicate a loose component, and it's advisable to have them inspected by a professional.
Store your binoculars in a cool, dry place, preferably in their case to protect them from dust and moisture. Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
To prevent fogging, ensure your binoculars are dry before use and allow them to acclimate to the surrounding temperature. In humid conditions, consider using anti-fog wipes or sprays specifically designed for optics.
Regularly clean the lenses, check for any loose parts, and store them properly when not in use. Avoid dropping or exposing them to extreme conditions. If any issues arise, consult the user manual or contact Bushnell support.
