To mount the Bushnell 101921 Gun scope, ensure the rifle is unloaded. Attach the mount rings to the rifle base, align the scope, place it within the rings, and tighten the screws uniformly. Ensure the scope is level and the eye relief is comfortable.
To zero the scope, set up a target at 100 yards. Rest the rifle on a stable surface, fire a three-shot group, and adjust the windage and elevation knobs until the point of impact matches the point of aim. Repeat as necessary.
A blurry scope may be due to incorrect focus. Adjust the eyepiece focus ring until the reticle appears sharp. Also, ensure the objective lens is clean and free from debris.
Use a lens brush to remove loose debris, followed by a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Wipe gently in circular motions to avoid scratching the lenses.
If the scope fogs up, it may indicate a seal issue. Ensure the scope is stored in a dry environment. If fogging persists, contact Bushnell for service as it may need resealing.
Adjust the parallax by turning the parallax adjustment knob until the target and reticle are on the same focal plane, eliminating any apparent reticle movement when you shift your eye position.
Regularly check and tighten all mounting screws, clean the lenses, and inspect the scope for damage. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent moisture buildup.
To reset the turrets, remove the caps, dial the turret to the zero setting, and then use a tool to loosen and reset the dial to zero without changing the setting. Tighten the screws afterward.
A shift in point of impact may be due to mounting issues. Ensure all screws are tight and the scope is properly seated. Environmental factors such as temperature changes can also affect impact points.
Check the mounting to ensure the scope is not canted. Use a bubble level to adjust the rifle and scope alignment. If problems persist, consult a professional gunsmith.
