To thread the Brother CE6070T, raise the presser foot and turn the handwheel toward you to raise the needle. Place the spool on the spool pin and follow the threading path indicated on the machine, ensuring the thread passes through the tension discs and the take-up lever. Finally, thread the needle from front to back.
If the machine is skipping stitches, check if the needle is bent or dull and replace it if necessary. Ensure the needle is correctly inserted with the flat side facing the back. Also, verify that the thread is correctly threaded through the machine.
Regularly clean the machine by removing the bobbin case and using a small brush or vacuum to remove lint and dust. Oil the machine as recommended in the user manual, typically in the bobbin area. Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
Ensure the presser foot is lowered and that the feed dogs are engaged. Check if the stitch length is set appropriately. If the issue persists, clean around the feed dogs to remove any lint or debris.
For lightweight fabrics, use a size 9/70 or 11/75 needle. For medium-weight fabrics, a size 14/90 is suitable. Heavyweight fabrics require a size 16/100 needle. Always match the needle type to the fabric and thread being used.
Tension can be adjusted using the tension dial on the front of the machine. Increase the tension for tight stitches and decrease for loose stitches. Test on a scrap piece of fabric to achieve the desired stitch quality.
If the machine is noisy, turn it off and check for any tangled threads or debris in the bobbin area. Ensure the machine is properly threaded and that all parts are secure. If the noise persists, consult the user manual or a professional technician.
Place an empty bobbin on the bobbin winder spindle and push it to the right. Follow the threading path for bobbin winding as indicated on the machine. Hold the thread end and start the machine. Once the bobbin is filled, cut the thread and push the bobbin winder spindle back to the left.
To change the presser foot, raise the presser foot lever and press the presser foot release lever. Align the new foot with the presser foot holder and lower the presser foot lever to lock it in place.
Re-thread both the upper thread and bobbin to ensure they are correctly positioned. Verify that the bobbin is inserted in the correct direction. Adjust the tension dial as needed and test on a sample fabric to check stitch consistency.
